Sad news today when we learned that another young Canadian soldier had died in Afghanistan. The dead body of Pte (Bombardier) Karl Manning, a 31-year-old radar operator from Chicoutimi, PQ , was found Friday by fellow soldiers at a remote outpost in the Zangabad area. Pte Manning’s death was not the result of enemy action and an investigation is ongoing. He is the 156 soldier to die as a result of the failed mission in Afghanistan. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
