As the second week of campaigning begins here is my update party-by-party – from right to left:
- Gilles (Grande Fromage for the French) and the Bloc have the easiest job - they always do – suck as much cash out of Canada as possible, blame everything wrong in the world on Canada, and protect the Quebec Hydro from those greedy East Coasters, my advice, take Quebec and go … pleeeaaasssee.
- Lizzie, leader of a marginal party, still crying about the debate and doing little else – my advice, join forces with the Liberals or try for the Senate … again.
- Jack, poor Jack, still bullied by his wife and still trying to get his 500 plus relatives into the country so they can all draw CPP and Old Age pensions immediately on arrival – and free medical of course – my advice, join forces with the Liberals if you ever want to be part of the government.
- Iggy, the American, like the NDP spend spend spend and spend – thinks the deficit will go away once we over-tax and drive all the major companies out of Canada – my advice, (1) give your head a shake and do your figures, (2) form a new party with the Greens – give Lizzie environment – and the NDP – give Jack medicare and pensions – and if you win, God Help us and Allaha Ackbar to all.
- Stevie Wonder – piano player, living in a world of his own, but hanging in there – the lesser of five evils, I’m not a PC but may vote for him this time around so that the country can finally be governed by a majority government – I’m tired of a separatist, aka le Grande Fromage, driving policy in this country.
