Big news last week in NL when Danny unexpectedly resigned as PM – bigger news a week earlier when NL signed a major hydro power pact with NS (see above).  This will allow NL to bypass Quebec (who has been screwing the East Coast for years) and supply cheap-green power to NL, NS,  NB, PEI, and eventually the Eastern US. Besides replacing coal & oil generated power with cheap-green energy, it will mean thousands of jobs for the East Coast.  It will also strike back at Quebec for taking 90 percent of the profits generated by NL’s Churchill Falls.  After the one-sided rip-off  ends in 30 years, the plan is to cut-off Quebec Hydro and redirect that power through NL/NS as well.  Earlier this year, Quebec moved to block the NL initiative by taking control of  NB power, but Danny put a stop to that.  Now the Bloc is trying to convince the Feds not to provide funding via guaranteed loans – “Bonne Chance” with that a-holes. My guess is that Danny-Millions will take over the mega-project within the next year or so.  As a final note, we could easily fund two of these mega-projects by redirecting the equalization funds Quebec sucks out of Canada each year.
