This Monday we will be going to the polls to elect members to the Petrolia Town Council – I encourage everybody to get out and vote. The decision as to who sits on the Council rests entirely with us the voters, and I encourage you to give your choice(s) some serious thought. Many of us attended the “Meet the Candidates” night at the Victoria Play House earlier this week, I though it was a great opportunity to see and hear the nine candidates up close. Based on my findings that night and based on some background research, I’ve narrowed my decision down to six runners – the number of vacant seats. One of my front runners is Rick Soulard whom I’ve known since Irene and I moved to Petrolia some five years ago. Rick is honest, intelligent and hard working – he would be an asset if elected and allowed to serve on the Petrolia Town Council. See you at the polls. MPC
